Ada v2

I am pretty sure that last Ada painting was outdated from the minute it came out of my pencil... and the eyes were wonky so it shall forever be labeled "practice". Meanwhile, Ada 2.0.

This is much closer to what I had in mind. although even in this, her hair is much tamer than it is meant to be, but that will be reconciled further down the line if and when I finish this painting thing.

So will her chin. She barely has one here....

Adaleev Moirae (FIN) [SOMETIMES I FINISH THINGS!!]

More cartoony style than my usual, but I've been trying to take a break from realistic precision and let myself go a little bit to have some more fun. She's super petite, and has these beady black eyes~ lalala.

Her hair is actually an enormous mass of black curls, but she's got them all ironed into waves and styled for this painting.

Deedra WIP

Kaleet wasn't panning out so well, so I developed one of my random in-class doodles of Deedra into a painting. I'm actually satisfied with how this is turning out so far.

Kaleet WIP #1

My imagination has been a little worn out over repeated thoughts and illustrations for the LOONIBIN as of late, so I decided to turn fresh attention to my unnamed swords-and-sorcery space-fantasy. It is a story that centers primarily around the friendship of two women, Deedra, a vagabond swordswoman, and Kaleet, a low-tier Knight of Melanon.

The following is of Kaleet.

The clothes are spur-of-the-moment. The fashion aspect of world-building has not been fully completed, save for knights' armors and high social fashion for special occasions for knights.

Guardian Senshi doodles

I was reliving the 90s and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I felt the need to do some doodling in the vein of girl-power. This was mostly just figure practice, without references. I got a little lazy towards the end (poor Mercury), but if I ever come back to these I swear to pretty them up equally...

New Art -- Hatsoon "Promo" Image

Watching the previously mentioned art tutorial really inspired me to give Photoshop another try, even if it's the crappy Elements 4 version. I haven't used Photoshop since switching OS from PC to Mac, and although i still have the PC, my Mac is what is portable and follows me everywhere. I've always preferred Photoshop's ease of organization and versitility, but Painter Essentials offered me some brush and paper options which Photoshop did not. Still, I kind of really missed the program :)

My goal is to do a series of "Promo" images for the primary cast of The LOONIBIN (well, the part 1 cast). It's sort of like a trailer or promotional-video concept, except it is simply a series of paintings featuring the characters individually.

This is a character named Hatsoon. She's fun, an acrobatic, and a talented pilot of space-crafts and other space-based machinery. There are also a lot of things she's not telling you...

I am debating about the eye-color still. She originally had black eyes, and actually I quite prefer them, but my relationship with Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series and the extreme awesome that is the character Katara made me want to do some kind of homage to it. Katara from the series has dark skin and hair, but striking blue eyes. We'll see if I decide to keep them though; I really like her dark ones...

Also, I hate ears. :( They're so awkward and ugly if you do not paint them properly...

Charlie Bowater Art Tutorial

A "tutorial" of sorts, it's a great opportunity to see how she paints. She's a well-known artist/user on deviantART, and I've admired her painting style for some time. She gives a lot of fantastic advice in this video, so much so that I found myself taking notes!

General Diva WIP #3 & #4

Finished it. I haven't been this productive in years.

An OC of many disguises, but in this portrait she is known by a title of particular renown: "Diva, the Third General of Deedahras Mae. A Battle Sorceress, there was none more mighty than she."

From one of my many stories. This one is a space-fantasy.

Another practice painting. I seem to have a real affection for asymmetry in my works. For whatever reason, I have always liked the use of "unbalanced" space. My teachers always used to grade me down for that...

Also, before anyone says it, she is supposed to be tiny, and thus her hands and body are qui
